Vee Kessner
Director
With 30 years of experience in interior design, Vee brings a wealth of experience in hospitality, retail and workplace design. This experience means that she has a unique understanding of the quality and attention to detail that complex projects demand. Working collaboratively with architects, clients, operators and consultants to establish and develop concepts that support and encourage unique guest experiences while ensuring a return on investment for owners has been central to her approach for many years.
Dave Sweatman
Associate Designer
Dave has been with Space Studio for more than 11 years and has been designing with leading architecture & design firms in both NZ and Australia for over 20 years. His experience includes all stages of interior design delivery for major hotels, hospitality, residential and commercial design projects. With an equal passion for both a creative and technical approach, he brings a very collaborative process when working with clients, contractors, artisans and the studio team.
Monique Enoka-Davidson
Partner
Monique joined the studio in 2017. She has over 15 years’ experience working with leading design and architecture firms throughout New Zealand and the Pacific. This experience has included all stages of design delivery with a focus towards resorts, hotels, and high-end residential design. Having brought an impressive portfolio of projects to completion, Monique brings an extensive range of skills and experience to the design and procurement teams.
Christine Talbot
Associate Procurement
Christine has been involved in the delivery of fit-out for 30 years throughout the Pacific. Her passion is furniture and as such has an extensive knowledge of the required specifications and parameters for hotel furnishing, fittings and equipment to both meet brand standards but also manage the expectations of programme and budget. Her long standing experience in this area brings an extensive and well tested supply chain to projects with suppliers being chosen for their quality, reliability and cost effectiveness.
Kirsty Coles
Senior Designer Technical
Kirsty has been an integral member of Space Studio since 2007. Her significant technical knowledge and experience coordinating complex projects makes her a valued member of the team. A good understanding of documentation coordination and structure ensures that the interiors package is well integrated with all consultants.
A strong passion for creative and innovative design solutions coupled with extensive documentation and delivery experience makes Kirsty a respected addition to our team.
Julie Lyons
Senior Designer
Julie has 20 years of experience working on a wide variety of Interior Projects including hotels, high end residences, retirement villages, apartments, retail stores, hospitality, and yachts. Julie is driven with an ambitious imagination and desire to give and grow creatively. With a deep appreciation for aesthetics and an understanding of
the impact of thoughtful design, she strives to make every project unique while forming elegant solutions to design briefs.
Joel de Jesus
Technical Lead BIM Manager
Joel leads the technical team at Space Studio and brings both design and technical knowledge to the delivery of large scale projects. With 15 years experience in architectural design and delivery of projects, he is an integral part of the team. Joel is the BIM leader for Space projects to ensure that the interiors are well coordinated with the overall documentation.
Samantha Rogers
Procurement
Samantha has worked on a
range of luxury projects and
with a background in quantity
surveying at the highest level, is
well versed in the development
of extensive budgets for FF&E, OSE
and construction materials. This is
an asset to the overall team when
delivering projects with set budget
requirements.
Samantha’s strengths include
efficient budget development
working with the Studio’s current,
relevant FFE and OSE budgeting
database. Her project mangement
skills are exceptional with regard to
the delivery and management of
FF&E and OSE to meet large-scale
project timeframes.
